9.1.1 Draw and label plan diagrams to show the distribution of tissues in the stem and leaf of a dicotyledonous plant.

 

 

 

Diagrams like these are called plan diagrams. The main purpose of such diagrams is to show the position of different tissues. Individual cells are not shown (Red Textbook, pg.240).

 

 

 

Suggestions on how this question might be asked in another way:

- Compare and contrast different structures found in stem and leaf of a dicotyledonous plant

- Explain functions of three different parts of a dicotyledonous stem.

- Explain functions of three different parts of a dicotyledonous leaf.

I just added a comment to explain what exactly a plan diagram is, which is just a simple drawing consisting of the main tissues and parts. It doesn't have to be detailed but it has to show different positions of the tissues.
