Needed in advance

  1. data set of all DP biology grades (exams & IA)

Learning Process

    2. range
    3. sd
  6. Present students with hard copies of CE checklist
Assignment
  • Students draw conclusions from DP data (CE)

DATA

Goals:  recognize, calculate and use - normal distribution, mean, variability, standard deviation

Process:  Use DP test data to determine these values

Product: Students produce a spreadsheet and a worksheet with these values calculated: A_meangrades_name

t-test; CE

Goals:  Connect processed data to drawing conclusions about information

Process:  View Taylor's statistics presentation.

Product: Students produce unique Google Doc (or Excel) in which they graph hummingbird data (from Taylor's presentation; above.)

Later: Presentation on t-test

t-test; CE

Goal: complete first CE for wk2; dy1
